About the College

Charampa Mahavidyalaya, Charampa, the leading and premier co-education degree college of Bhadrak took its concrete shape on 01/09/1979 to combat darkness and ignorance in the surrounding locality by Pioneering qualitative higher education to its vast chunk of students population. With a determination and promise to cater to the needs of rural boys and girls aspiring to get higher education and without enough means to afford long travel or a private hostel Charamapa Mahavidyalaya, Bhadrak was established in a sprawling campus surrounded by shadowy trees and a sylvan setting. Bhadrak Railway Station under East Coast Railway Division and N.H.-5 close to it have accelerated this aspiration and inspired this institution to march ahead with its noble mission and enlightened vision. The vast rural background, rich socio-economic and cultural activities thriving around have helped this institution to realize its vision by shaping young mind with value centric education.

The public, guardians, political and social activist of the locality have left no stone unturned to transform this institution in to a centre of teaching, learning and research responsive to the needs of the community. The qualified and resourceful faculties are always committed to strive hard for the dissemination of value based education and prepare to keep themselves busy in inspiring and encouraging the students in their unmitigated quest for knowledge.

Charampa Mahavidyalaya , which is affiliated to F.M. University, Balasore, impart Degree education in Arts, Science and Commerce at a very low and nominal cost.

By cherishing a dream of total transformation of the surrounding communities the institution endeavors to imbibe and inculcates the students with the spirits of humanism, rational temper and scientific pursuits. The calm, quiet and serene atmosphere of the college with greenery all round help create an intellectual environment apron to innovation and creativity. The college which spreads over 43 acres of land along with a 13 acres of water tank, striving incessantly to provide infrastructure to facilitate both qualitative and quantitative parameter of teaching and learning programme. The spread of higher education, achievement of self sufficiency and self-reliance for sustenance is the cardinal objective of the institution.
