About the School

The Delhi Public School Society came into being as a non-profit making body. It established its first school in 1949 at Mathura Road, New Delhi. In pursuance of its motto ‘Service Before Self’, and its commitment to an integrated educational system, the mission of the society was to enhance learning among the Indian youth.
This was followed with new schools in rapid succession, and today the Society has grown into a family of more than 200 schools and 23 of these are abroad. Each school has developed into a pace-setting autonomous institution, with a well-designed program of instruction, based on the pursuit and promotion of excellence.
While the former, known as the Core schools, have been set up by the Society in New Delhi and its neighboring states, after having acquired the land and designing the construction, the Satellite or the associated schools are those which have been established across the country in collaboration with certain Public Sector Undertakings. Based on the premise that good education is the high road to both individual and national progress, the Society has proved to be a significant trendsetter. In the light of this success, the Society also received requests to set up similar schools abroad, and make them a part of the larger structure.
This has led to the establishment of 23 schools in countries like – Kuwait, Sharjah, Indonesia, Nepal, Bahrain, Dubai, Afghanistan, Doha, USA, Dhaka, Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Sri Lanka & Singapore.

Many factors have played a vital role in the creation of this ‘epitome of quality education.’ The vision and foresight of the pioneers; the total involvement and professional interest in the cause of education of the serving Board of Governors; the appointment of outstanding Principals to steer each school in the right direction, an unmatched faculty, and finally, the selection of meritorious and bright students. These characteristics have placed the DPS Society on the forefront of the educational map of India and the world.
As it has been said, “It is good to have an end to the journey, but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” The involvement of the Society in universal educational enhancement and its endeavor to build a democratic, pluralistic and secular nation has made all the difference. It is no more a question of lighting a candle here or there; it is an attempt at total electrification. The whole world has begun to glow with the light of literacy radiated by the Delhi Public School Society.
The inception of Delhi Public school, Bulandshahr in the year 1997, heralded an era of quality education and learning, aiming for excellence, by providing better educational facilities to the residents of Bulandshahr and its adjoining areas. The school has established itself as a premier educational institution in Northern India.

A modest beginning was made on 21st July 1997 and later Dr. J.C Pant, a committed leader and the founder Principal, undertook the challenge of setting up DPS, Bulandshahr at Yamunapuram phase – II in district Bulandshahr – U.P with virtually a handful of staff members. It certainly was the zeal of a missionary that could transform the solitary vastness of 6.25 acres of land into a bustling paradise now thronged by a multitude of students and hundreds of others who are dedicated to the task of making school education meaningful and relevant to the contemporary context’s needs.

DPS Bulandshahr is affiliated to CBSE and is run by the Delhi Public School Society, registered under The Societies Act, having eminent educationists, jurists and administrators of the country as its members. Set amidst the most aesthetically planned environment, it provides a congenial and serene atmosphere for learning to its students, who make the optimum use of the building and space provided to them, away from the congestion of city life.

Inheriting a rich legacy passed on to it by sister institutions, the school takes pride in being one of the sterling co – educational public schools, to provide high standards, modern educational and pedagogical facilities, rich curriculum and clean environment shaping the child’s overall personality enabling them to develop a strong and confident self – esteem.

The school maintains a teacher – Pupil Ratio 1:22. To keep pace with the needs of the modern times, the school provides equal opportunities to all the learners hailing from all sections of the society, irrespective of caste and creed, fostering an analytical, scientific attitude and an open – minded democratic outlook towards the issues of social, environmental, ethical and national significance.
