About the School

The Don Bosco Farm High School and Dominic Savio Primary School is a co-educational boarding school, affiliated to the Goa State Board and offers English medium education from class I to X along with pre-schooling. In addition to introducing quality education in rural Southern Goa, DBFHS is an excellent choice for the students to enjoy and grow among nature and develop environmental awareness. The school campus houses the Primary and High School, a sports field, an extensive auditorium, a well-equipped library and a computer lab among other amenities required to develop the young minds.
The modest but promising beginning of the school dates back to 1977 with the initiation of the Savio Boys’ Home, an elementary boarding school for the underprivileged orphan boys and the children of the farm workers. The Dominic Savio Primary School was officially recognised by the Directorate of Education in 1981 followed by the DBFHS in 1986 with retrospective effect. The year 1987-88 saw the first batch of SSC students pass out from the school.

Keeping in line with the Salesian philosophy – a unique charism given to the Salesians by their founder and which has also been imbibed by the staff, learning at DBFHS extends beyond the classroom by encouraging the students to excel in sports and co-curricular activities. The students can also choose to be a part of any of the eight clubs offered at DBFHS.

DBFHS over the years has carved a niche for itself on the Goan education front and within the Salesian province in Goa as it nurtures the young in their formative years and journey of self-discovery, thus preparing them for the complexities of the world and at the same time to be agents of transformation for a better future.
