About the College

Hindu Girls College is being run under the aegis of ‘The Sonepat Hindu Educational and Charitable Society’. It was started as a girls’ wing of Hindu College, Sonepat in 1958 to extendthe best quality education to girls of the region regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds. It acquired a separate entity in 1982. Since then, it has been a premier educational institute not only in Haryana but the whole of Northern India with an admirable legacy of diverse educational programmes, distinguished faculties, eminent alumni, varied co-curricular activities, excellent sports infrastructure and other modern educational amenities.

The mission of the college is “Transforming Lives of Girls by Educating, Emancipating and Empowering Them” and the vision is “Women Empowerment and Inculcating the Right Values”. To achieve this, we are going from strength to strength. The commitment of the college towards nurturing the talents and intellectual growth of its students is very much testified through the year-based achievements of its students and the various departments. The college provides a home away from home for those hailing from remote areas. It can boast of a safe, airy, and spacious hostel providing comfortable accommodation to girls.
