About the School

The congregation of the Sisters of the Cross was founded by Claudine Echernier in 1838 at Chavanod a little village Savoie in the South East of France. Claudine Echernier was a woman of deep faith, self sacrificing love, integrity of character, hard work, patient, endurance, generous, forgiving spirit, committed to the cause of God’s kingdom.

In 1974 at the invitation of Rt. Rev. Antony Muthu, D.D., the Bishop of Vellore, the Sisters of the Cross came to Sathuvachari, Vellore-9 to continue their mission of service according to the need of the locality. As a result, now we have now this institution along with residential school for the hearing impaired in the same campus.

We, the Sisters of the Cross will impart moral values through our education and make the students ethically strong, who in turn shall improve the quality of life of the human race.
