About the College

Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College is the unit of Sri Ranganatha Paduka Vidhyalaya Trust (SRPVT) a registered public charitable trust established in 1968 by illustrations shishyas of Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam(Periyashramam) on the divine command of the 9th pontiff of the Ashramam HH Srimad Andavan Sri Vedanta Ramanuja MahaDesikan

The college was founded in 1996 by HH Srimad Andavan Sri Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikan, the 11th pontiff of the ashramam with the holy vision of providing affordable higher education to the needy and the marginalized segment of the rural society and inaugurated by the Then President of India, Honourable Shri Shankar Dayal Sharma.

The vision of the founder of the college with more committment is carried on by the current Aacharya, the 12th Pontiff of the Ashramam HH Srimad Andavan Sri Varaha Mahadesikan
