About the School
The Sunbeam CBSE School, Vellore, was born out of a necessity to make world-class and top of the line quality education accessible and affordable to all. In a journey that spans across over three decades of dedicated service and commitment to the cause of education, what started as a small school in Vellore, has now become a pioneer in nurturing young minds in the country, preparing them to excel in every walk of life. Striking the right balance between personalized and collaborative learning, we take a holistic end-to-end approach to help our students overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals.
By creating a progressive and positive learning environment, at Sunbeam, we categorically identify individual talents at an early age and persistently shape them every single day to make sure as adults our students outperform and outshine in their respective vocations and professional life. The faculty at Sunbeam is amongst the most talented and experienced in the country and always willing to go that extra mile to bring out the best in our students. With a futuristic vision, we have always been a proponent of flexible adaptive learning. We use all modern and latest techniques in our smart classrooms including graphics, audio-visual learning materials, gamified learning, online tests and more. We also provide our students adequate exposure facilitating and promptly ensuring their participation in select national and international educational events such as Olympiads, seminars, orientation programs and more. Sunbeam Vellore is much more than a conventional learning center, we are a sophisticated laboratory actively researching and bridging the gap between the ordinary and the brilliant!

Organizations that have a large number of members usually struggle to interact with one another. To overcome this challenge, Sunbeam schools have organized NAAM Sunbeam, which has 500 members, from the housekeeping staff to the chairman. Created in April 2019, the objective of NAAM Sunbeam is to instill unity, promote staff motivation, and cultivate the spirit of fraternity and mutual support. The monthly meeting is a soul-enriching program. First, there is a prayer where Hindu, Christian, and Muslim prayer songs are sung by members of the other religion. Talented team members render musical accompaniment. Around 1 lakh rupees is collected from all the members, ranging from 25 rupees to 500 rupees, in proportion to members’ salaries as a donation every month. The management donates a matching grant of 1 lakh rupees and makes the fund two lakhs. The fund is divided and distributed to around 50 members as cash gifts. Fellow staff members gift eachother. Every Team Sunbeam staff member is eligible to receive. Some of the well-to-do members donate their gifts back to the Naam Sunbeam Fund. Members are invited to speak about their positive experiences in Sunbeam, but utmost caution is taken not to permit any praising or sycophancy of the management. Parents Teachers Association (P.T.A), office bearers, and people with altruistic outlooks are invited to deliver special lectures to the members. “Naam Sunbeam” insists on equality and serves as an open forum to discuss all matters freely. The management provides refreshments to all the members at the end of every meeting. “Naam Sunbeam” has an extensive housing plan for its members. Naam Sunbeam has also introduced a scheme known as the ‘Uyir Thittam’ ‘Life Scheme’. Each member donates 10 rupees every month. If 5000 rupees is collected in a month, the management gives 5000 rupees as a matching fund, and the 10,000 rupees is kept as savings. Every month, the fund grows and would be used for the benefit of its members or help address any untoward incident. NAAM Sunbeam is a noble, helpful forum that serves all members alike. Therefore, team Sunbeam feels proud that such a socially valuable scheme has been wholeheartedly appreciated and taken up by all its members.
