About the School

Established in 1987 with 70 students, in a rented building, today SGHPS has about 2000 students on it rolls on a two acre campus in the heart of Bathinda city.SGHPS is a co-educational secondary school affiliated with CBSE, Delhi. The plans are affot to upgrade it upto 10+2 level in the near future.Six acres of land has been bought by the school in 2007 at Muktsar Road for new building.

The school is equipped with all the modern day school amenities viz. Multistorey school complex, Spacious class rooms, JUNIORS PLANET – for Nursery & K.G. classes, Library with Audio visual facility, Multimedia computer for juniors, AC omputer lab, Full fledged sports facilities, 82 kv generator for backup, Aquaguard purified water,Children’s park, Playstation etc.SGHPS produces 100% Board results every year with a number of distinctions. The board classes are taken special care of in academics.Highly qualified & seasoned teaching staff for all the subjects.

Special courses are run for teaching SPOKEN ENGLISH FREE OF COST during the summer break.The school has best building plans & Escape Routes & Open Space keeping the Fire safety norms in view. No hazardous Plant/Factory is around the campus.Extra coaching classes are held for the students of 9th & 10th during summer & winter breaks . Teachers are being paid extra for these but not even a single penny is charged from the students.

Hobbies that are nurtured at SGHPS include ART & Craft, Music Instrumental & Vocal, Band playing, Sports-all major, reading, speaking & writing & Project making.
