About the College

Donyi-Polo B.Ed College, Itanagar is a Premier Teacher Training & Teaching College in this Twin Capital of Itanagar-Naharlagun (ICC). The Institution is located at the Heart of Itanagar City. The College was established in 2015 with a view to impart Quality Training & Teaching not only to Future Teachers but also to Practicing Untrained Teachers and run under the aegis of the Society for Women Welfare, Awareness & Training (SWWAT) with the vision to uplift the quality of education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. There is a huge ratio of untrained Teachers and that itself reflect the educational scenario of the State.

We prepare our Students & Teacher-Trainees to be competent enough in their pursuance of careers & professional capabilities and also to be able to face the challenges of real-life situations in every step.

The Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Department of Higher and Technical Education had given the required NOC/Clearance to Donyi-Polo B.Ed College, Itanagar vide Order No. ED/HE-44/2010. The College has been affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University and also been Recognized by NCTE vide their letter No.ER/181-6 4/ERCAPP1420/BED/2015/30682 Did. 01-03-2015 and has been functioning well since 2015-16 academic session.
