About the College

Our College is a unique educational institution of North India and holds a pre-eminent position in the glorious past of this region. In 1916 the institution was set up in Lahore, under the dynamic leadership of Bharat Ratna Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya Ji, the backbone of Sanatan Dharma. After the partition of the country, the college was re-established in Ambala and the foundation stone of the building was laid by none other than India’s first President Dr. Rajender Prasad on 3 October 1951.

Since then the college has witnessed the passage of great men and women through its portals. Eminent Statesmen like Dr. N N Vohra, Former Governor, J & K; Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, Former Minister of External Affairs; Sh Anil Vij, Cabinet Minister, Government of Haryana; Nobel Laureate and Nuclear Physicist, Dr. Abdus Salam; Numerous Doctors, Engineers and Academicians are a product of this institution which has withheld its traditional past while embracing the ideas of the Technological world.

Our Vision
The Vision of the college is an offspring of the lofty ideals of its founders and great educationists like ‘Bharat Ratna’ Mahamana Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya, which in Sanskrit reads: Tamso Ma Jyotirgamayor Lead Me from Darkness to light.

The primary mission of the college is to uplift the society through education. Like a beacon, guiding the philosophy of nurturing a healthy human resource that is endowed materially, intellectually, morally and spiritually, the institution continues to spread the light of knowledge.
