About the School

It was one of the latent and abiding cravings of Master Alhaj Gh Rasool Hajini (EEDT), who had himself, acquired DT (Diploma in teaching) from Elementary teaching Institute Udhampur, then an inaccessible and far off place from sopore town, to have a training easily available to the aspiring candidates of teaching in their vicinity.

A dream which seemed quite unattainable in those dark days. His Sons Haji Basheer Ahmad Hajini and Haji Anayatullah Hajini did make it a reality by their efforts and established a college of education in sprawling premises of welkin enclave in an educational ambiance of sorts. The Majestic building with all necessary infrastructure speaks of zest and zeal which the trust and its chairman possess in this venture. Due to its excellent infrastructure facilities, the University of Kashmir Srinagar has granted it an affiliation with an allotment of 130 seats at the outset, for the session 2006-2007.

The college is headed by Baseema Anayat, who has a distinction of serving the department of Education. Among the teaching staff, the university made the selection of young, intelligent, talented, well qualified lecturers. College has for the present a sufficient number of books on various subjects in its library and it is going to be augmented further in the due course of time. It has a computer lab, it has Psychology and Geography labs too, which are furnished with requisite items, besides a well established science lab.

The halls and classrooms are sufficient to accommodate many folds the number of pupil teachers allotted every year. The college can easily cater to the demands of pupil teachers in all their scholastic and non-scholastic aspects.

The college has suitable toilet facilities and lavatories in and around the college building. There is a sufficiently big playfield available for pupil teachers to get training in not only games and sports requiring small lawns but for major games like football, hockey and cricket.
