About the School

Al-Barkaat Educational Society, dedicated to the memory of renowned Persian-Hindi Sufi poet Syed Shah Barkatullah of Marehra, district Etah, came into being in 1995. The Society was registered under the Societies Registration Act.

The Al-Barkaat Educational Society derives inspiration from the life and teachings of a galaxy of illustrious Sufis of Khanqah-e-Barkaatia, Marehra Sharif (Etah, U.P.). It owes its inception to the profound vision of its Founder President Professor Syed Shah Muhammad Amin (Department of Urdu, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh), the present Sajjadah Nashin of Khanqah-e-Barkaatia, and President of Dargah Syed Shah Barkatullah Committee. He is the moving spirit and the light behind this novel project in establishing various educational institutions in India.

Greetings and welcome to Al Barkaat Institute which has taken a brisk and giant stride in this Indian sub-continent since 2004. I am highly honoured to superintend this institute which, over these years, has become a part of my very being along with its irrefutable innovations in the field of training and child personality development. The guiding principles of the institute are ‘creation of awareness, competence and proficiency’ among students so that they can face the life-challenges with their broad shoulders and never shy away from the difficulties of any sphere of life. Al Barkaat imparts the students a target-oriented education to groom them for a world that is still in developing stage with so many goals yet unachieved. The pinpointed aims of imparting knowledge merged with creativity are only but some among the volumes of aspirations to forge an ultra energetic youth.

Though, being a multi-speciality federation, I prefer to utilize this moment to intimate the masses with the intricate details and guidelines followed in secondary/senior secondary educational realm. The organisation is strictly based on the norms of C.B.S.E from Nursery till Sr. Secondary level. As this stage where motivation and proper guidance are the necessary contributors to the augmentation of a child’s personality, it is ensured that the students should be provided with the best infrastructure and teaching faculty. Al Barkaat is a boarding school which means it is easily able to cater to the national needs and character of its boarders.

At this juncture, I would like to mention a unique stratum, not less than a god-gifted opportunity for the aspiring daughters of my Indian motherland and that is the presence of a completely separate section for Secondary and Sr. Secondary girls, in the design of a mini-campus, fulfilling the concept of ‘single yet mingle’ where the adolescent girls get an opportunity to bloom freely in a stress free and all-female environment with timely interaction with the entire campus as per requirement.

This multi-centre organisation does not stop here only, but it also offers higher studies in many majors. Al Barkaat Institute of Management Studies, Al Barkaat Jamia Hamdard Study Centre, and Al Barkaat B.Ed College for Teachers’ Training attract a large number of scholars from all over the Indian sub-continent as well as abroad.

I wish all these senior aspirants achieve the capes of success in whichever department they seek admission. Hereby, I take my leave from the visitors of this site, a hoard of blessings and may God always give His best to those who leave the choice to Him.
