The BAPUJI EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION was established in 1958. It has succeeded in creating an atmosphere of academic excellence in Davanagere, the “Knowledge city of Karnataka”. The vision envisioned by the educational legends in the city has ensured that parents seeking quality and excellence in education have turned towards this city, which is gaining a steady reputation as an educational hub in Karnataka. Men of vision and great honor ventured into the great cause of education under the aegis of this robust association. This noble and impressive tradition has been carried forth through the years by distinguished academicians who have shaped various educational institutions to cater to contemporary demands. The 57 reputed institutions of the Bapuji Educational Association, which include two Medical & Dental Sciences colleges and an engineering college, stand as a testimony to the dedicated efforts of this Association. Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappa is a towering figure who has held the association in high regard for decades now.

Bapuji Higher Primary English School, Davangere, was established in the year 1995. As the name suggests, BHPEMS is inspired by the values and principles of the great leader Mahatma Gandhi. It is situated in the heart of the city and boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure with all the basic facilities required to provide quality education. The school has a global outlook in education and is introducing various courses for the all-round development of the students.
