About the School

“Work is worship” is the school motto that strives to inculcate passion for excellence in all spheres. The driving force behind this passion was Chaudhary Deep Chand ji who articulated the potential of education as one which transforms a person’s life from darkness to light and from dependency to an ability of earning a respectable living.

Chaudhary Deep Chand ji had sowed the seeds of building a school in his lifetime but due to his untimely demise, it remained unfulfilled. However, his legacy was taken forward by the Chaudhary Deep Chand Memorial Trust, set up by his sons Shri Satya Prakash and Shri Anand Prakash, to realise Chaudhary Saheb’s dream of serving the community. The noble vision of Chaudhary Deep Chand came to fruition at last in the year 1988 when Deep Memorial Public School made its modest beginnings as a day-cum-boarding school. Over the years the guiding philosophy of the School continues to be to provide affordable education for the community without compromising the quality of education and competitiveness of our students.

Today, with the passage of more than three decades since its inception, the School has established several milestones not only in academic excellence but also extra-curricular activities. It continues to flourish and the establishment of a dedicated, fully-equipped ‘Junior Wing’ of the School is a testimony to the growth DMPS has witnessed. Deeparians are a growing body of socially responsible and well-groomed individuals that have shone in their respective future chosen careers.

Philosophy of the School
The vision of the School is to transform students to become confident, productive and responsible members of society. Our ultimate aim is to achieve the perfect symphony of harmony and progress : a balance between work and play, tradition and modernity, rights and responsibilities. Above all, the empowerment of individuals and power of the collective work are always emphasized at DMPS.

Just like touch is to skin, sight is to eyes, sound to ear, smell to nose, taste to tongue, a set of values is necessary for the success of individuals and communities within which individuals function. The words above perfectly embody the life journey of Chaudhary Deep Chand ji whose extraordinary qualities and virtues are the driving force behind Deep Memorial Public School (DMPS). A pioneer of his times, he was the first to be educated in his village which motivated his life-long quest to serve the community, especially the underprivileged and backward sections of society by providing equal opportunities for education.

Chaudhary ji was respected in equal measures as a social worker, freedom fighter and a philanthropist as he was admired for his righteousness and dedication by his contemporaries. After establishing one of the first public limited companies based in Delhi, he expanded his horizons to include real estate development but the setting up of an educational institution with a mission to serve our nation with holistic quality education was closest to his heart.

After his untimely demise, the Ch.Deep Chand Memorial Trust took upon the mantle of realising Chaudhary Deep Chand ji’s vision to reality. The Deep Memorial Public School continues to be guided by his educational philosophy that is deeply rooted in our Indian culture and values yet encompasses development of scientific temper for a technology driven future.

At DMPS we have resolved to empower, challenge and motivate students, teachers, staff, parents, school leaders and community members to learn, achieve and excel. As a result, our academic curriculum is periodically reviewed to make learning more dynamic and progressive using the best practices.

DMPS truly believes that “strength is gained with our hands but zeal is only acquired through our minds.” By moulding young minds into skilled, responsible individuals we hope they will make a difference to the globalised world in which they will pursue their respective future careers.
