About the School

Holy Child Hr Sec School, Shillong was opened in February 1973. It is a girls school.
The course of studies followed in that of the 10+2 year course conducted by the Education Board Of Meghalaya
The Specific meaning attached to this institution/’Holy Child’, is that it is specially dedicated to the Holy Infant Mary, the Virgin Mother of JESUS CHRIST. Hence, the school day falls on 8th September, that is , the birthday of the Holy Child Mary.
The School session starts in February and ends in December with the following yearly vacations- Summer vacation, Puja vacation and winter vacation.
