About the School

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Kothipura, Bilaspur was established in Aug 1992 in a temporary site in the building of distt. federation at tehsil Ghumarwin Bilaspur, HP. The vidyalaya was shifted to its Permanant Site at village Kothipura, Bilaspur and was formally inaugrated by Hon. Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal on 29 Jan, 2001 the then Cheif Minister of Himachal Pradesh. The vidyalaya campus is situated on the Bilaspur-Shimla National Highway (NH22) and is situated about 10 kms from District head quarter Bilaspur(HP). The whole campus is spread near 30 acres of Land. The Vidyalaya is situated on the top of the hills and bound by hills from three sides. More than 500 students are pursing quality education in the Vidyalaya. The Vidayala has fully furnished and equipped labs and has two smart class rooms(SCR). The Vidyalaya keeps on working hard to achieve the objectives of NVS. The JNV Bilaspur has two streams for Class XI & XII (Science and Humanities).
