About the School

Nirmala Higher Secondary School Aluva, established in 1962 is owned and managed by the congregation, Sisters of the Destitute (SD Sisters), St.Mary’s Province, Chunangamvely. Nirmala HSS aims at imparting quality education to the budding youngsters of our society by providing value based education that creates confident, competent and morally mature individuals who will always be a credit to the society at large.

The Founding Director of the Sisters of the Destitute Msgr. George Valliarumpeth, Superior General- Mother Agnes & her council realized the struggle of parents in and around Aluva to provide quality English education for their children. With the dream of transforming the tiny tots into ignited youth of tomorrow the SD Sisters joined their hands with the benefactors and well-wishers in the great mission of building our nation by shaping the growing generation. On 3rd June1962, Nirmala School came to existence as a nursery school.
