About the College

Chinmaya College of Arts, Commerce and Science (C C A C S) under the management of Chinmaya Mission is a premier institute of higher education affiliated to MG University, Kottayam, and Approved by Govt. of Kerala. Rooted in the vision of Swami Chinmayananda, the institution is known for its excellent record in academics and co-curricular activities. The college aims to nurture professionally competent, socially committed and spiritually enlightened youngsters, enabling them with futuristic education coupled with worthy human values. In 1995, under the able guidance of Ms. Janaki Menon and Ms. Kamakshi Balakrishna, a private college was started under CMECT Greater Cochin, which was able to attract a group of academically oriented youngsters. The first course started was B.COM and gradually Chinmaya became a trendsetter in higher education. In 2002, the college got affiliated to MG University and secured the approval from Government of Kerala. The first affiliated course was BBM followed by BCA and B.COM Degree courses. The expansion of the college accelerated over the next 10 years with the beginning of two more departments B. A. Programme in English Literature and Communication studies and B.A. Economics with Foreign Trade in the year 2014. The M.Com course had been initiated in 2013. Under the leadership of CMECT GC the college is able to mark a supreme position among the higher educational institutions in Kerala.
