About the School

The church in its very nature and establishment has an obligation to provide for its children an education which is promoting the holistic development of the human person, for the good of the society. With this noble vision, since its inception Our Lady of Rosary High School has made a spectacular progress, catering to the needs and all round development of the student community of Fatorda.

The Founder of the school is Rev. Fr. Vasco L D’Souza, who was a chaplain of Our Lady of Rosary Chapel in the year 1955-66.
1. It is strictly compulsory for every student to come to school in uniform with shoes and socks. P.T. Uniform will be worn on Thursdays and whenever necessary. Scouts and guides Uniforms when there is scouting / guiding period. Pupils not conforming with these norms are liable to be refused entry into the class or even be sent home and the parents/guardians will be held entirely responsible.

2. No late comer will be allowed to enter the class room without the permission of the Head of the school.

3. No student should leave the school premises without permission of the Head of the school.

4. Children are requested to take care of their personal property, as school authorities do not accept the responsibility of the loss of books, clothes, money etc.

5. Parents/Guardians and other persons are forbidden to see the student during school hours without the sanction of the authorities. The members of the staff should be seen during off period only or by previous appointment.

6. Insubordination to the teachers, speaking ill of them and of school authorities, irregular attendance, habitual inattention in class. obscenity in words or action, damaging school property or any behavior considered by the head of the school as detrimental to the good tone of the school are sufficient reasons for punishment or for fine, or even dismissal of the offender, according to Goa Education rules 1986.

7. Students shall not join any clubs, teams, societies etc. collect any subscription, plan any parties, picnics or games or make any engagement without the previous written permission of the Head of the school.

8. Cell Phones, Books, periodicals, pictures, magazines, cutting instruments, toys, eatables and other articles not approved by the Head of the school should not be brought to the classes or else they may be confiscated.
