About the School

Kamala Niketan was envisioned by Mrs. Geethanjali Sathiamoorthy, to be a school to incorporate changes in accordance with current global ethos and lead its children to a path of life-long learning. Her focus was to bridge the gap in the method of teaching which was rote-based and to build an institution that had an experiential & inquiry based way of learning. She was passionate about transforming the idea that imparting education was not limited to the knowledge gained from books but to equip her students with life skills that will give them the confidence to strive independently.

Kamala Niketan began with the foundation of ‘TINY TOTS”, in 1991 and had a mere 30 students in its first batch. Through commitment and perseverance of our faculty with support from parents and students, KNMS has now grown and developed into one of the premier schools in Trichy. We have spread to a 6.5acre location that is situated in the heart of the city, and have over 60 state of the art digitised classrooms and labs, spaces for collaborative learning supported by a team well qualified and dedicated staff.
