About the School

MHSS is a merger of Higher Secondary of Modern College (MC) and Modern Academy (MA). Both the Institutions (MC & MA) were established in the year 1997 with a quest and vision to promote accessible quality education by the founders Late Dr. S. Hekha Mao and his wife Mrs. A. Kaisa.

MHSS is a government recognised and registered recognised institution of Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) bearing registration number PR/5221/22.

The school enrolls students starting from Nursery upto Higher Secondary (Class 12) offering all the streams of Arts, Commerce and Science.

The school has qualified, trained and experienced teachers, who are regularly oriented and upto date with the latest teaching techniques and methods as regular trainings to the Faculty are imparted by the Teacher Educators of Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), sister institution of MHSS.
